Longford
Securities and Equities Ltd (LS&E) was formed in October 1993 by
Barry Attarzadeh and was primarily a residential
development company and throughout the 1990s the company acquired
and developed a number of buildings, primarily in Central London, which
required highly sensitive architectural and design treatment to obtain
planning and listed building consents.
In the latter part of 1998, recognising that the London residential
market had become too buoyant for a niche developer, LS&E focused
their attention on commercial development and investment whilst still
keeping a keen eye on the residential market.
The company now operates in commercial, retail and residential development and in commercial investment both in the UK and Europe. In 2003 they acquired a portfolio consisting of offices and retail in Kingston-upon-Thames and Teddington from PMB Holdings Ltd for £20 million. In November 2004 they acquired a 35,000 sq. ft. office investment in Leatherhead let to Kellogg Brown and Root Ltd with future development potential for circa £6 million.
In December 2003 LS&E acquired a site in Eze, near Monte Carlo on the French Riviera where they have developed a luxury complex of 9 villas and 8 apartments known as Domaine Val des Costes. The site, which is in an elevated position with direct views to the Mediterranean, secures the first step into residential development in Europe with an estimated total sales value of €24 million. The development is scheduled for completion in December 2006.
